China Silk Association Releases 2016 Situation Report Garment Exports Fall

First, the industrial operation
(A) the main product output has increased and decreased
From January to December 2016, according to the National Bureau of Statistics, the output of major products of enterprises above designated size has increased and decreased. Among them, raw silk production of 158,400 tons, an increase of 0.51% year-on-year; silk production of 8,987 tons, a year-on-year decline of 6.89%; silk satin production of 667,560,000 meters, a year-on-year increase of 5.82%; silk quilts production of 20,740,000, a year-on-year decline of 14.62%.
(ii) Industrial economic growth rate stabilized and rebounded
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in 2016, the industry's main business income of enterprises above designated size was 127.391 billion yuan, an increase of 4.48%; profit of 6.947 billion yuan, an increase of 4.59%, of which 4.141 billion yuan of reeling processing profits, an increase of 8.39%, silk weaving processing profits of 2.344 billion yuan, a year-on-year decline of 6.05%, silk printing and dyeing processing profits of 462 million yuan, an increase of 6.05%, and silk printing and dyeing processing profits of 462 million yuan, an increase of 4.62%.
