Advantages and disadvantages of jacquard fabrics
The main advantage of jacquard fabric is its unique beauty, three-dimensional texture and good air permeability, while the disadvantages are concentrated in easy to fade, maintenance complexity and higher prices.
Advantages
Aesthetics and design versatility
Jacquard fabrics form concave and convex patterns through the interweaving of warp and weft threads, with a strong sense of three-dimensional pattern and novel style. Large jacquard can weave complicated patterns of flowers, dragons and phoenixes with rich color layers; small jacquard is characterized by simple geometric or scattered patterns. Color woven jacquard (multi-color) further enhances the color contrast and artistic sense by pre-dyed yarns.
Comfortable and durable texture
Jacquard fabrics made from high count cotton or gonza have a soft and delicate texture with excellent drape and breathability. Tribute satin jacquard is often used in high-grade bedding and apparel due to the high density of interwoven yarns, which makes the fabric thicker and more glossy.
Easy daily care

Disadvantages
Color fading and elasticity problems

Washing restrictions: Hand wash with neutral detergent or gentle machine wash, avoid strong friction.
Drying requirements: should not be exposed to the sun or drying, need to dry in a cool ventilated place to prevent color fading and fiber damage.
Ironing Note: Ironing temperature should be controlled below 150℃, avoid direct contact with the fabric surface.
Complex process leads to high cost
Jacquard fabric due to the complexity of the weaving process (especially jacquard and satin jacquard), the price is usually higher than ordinary printed or embroidered fabrics. The seams are difficult to align with the pattern, which may increase the cost of cutting.
Applicable scenes and suggestions
Recommended use: jacquard fabrics are suitable for gonza jacquard bedding, curtains, medium and high-end women's clothing (such as jacquard cheongsam) and other scenes that emphasize texture and decorative.
Suggestions: Priority should be given to color jacquard products with high color fastness and fine yarn count, and attention should be paid to checking the fabric density parameters to judge the durability.
